Rotherham’s 27th Scout Group are to celebrate their 50th anniversary

Members of the 27th Rotherham Scout Group are going to be celebrating their milestone 50th anniversary.

The 27th Rotherham Scout Group in Woodsett, will be having a party Saturday 13th September, from 2pm until 6pm.

All former club members, past and present, since 1964 are invited to the celebrations which will be held at the Scout Hut on Gildingwells Road, Woodsetts.

As well as a party there will be a barbecue, games and music for family and friends.

A photograph display will be on show in the hut so people can see the 50 year span history of the 27th Rotherham Scout Group and how it has evolved over the years.

Billy Pringle, group treasurer of the 27th Rotherham Scout Group, said: “The party is a great way for everyone to come together and have a good time, whilst getting to know each other.

“Anyone is welcome to come down and join us in celebrating this momentous occasion. We would like to see as many Beavers Scouts,leaders or helpers as possible.”
