Rubbish piles fire sparks fire service call-out
Firefighters were called to rubbish fire burning out of control in a Sleaford area village yesterday (Sunday).
The crew from Corby Glen was called out just after 3pm three piles of refuse burning at a site on Short Hollows Lane in Sapperton, between Pickworth and Ropsley.
The rubbish was destroyed in the fire which was eventually put out by the crew with a hose.
