Chris Hickman, 34, has enlisted colleagues from his workplace at Bosch and has also roped in others from customers, Northwest Tools in Wigan, to join him and put on their running shoes this summer.

The group of 16 will be running the Great Manchester 10k on 26th May in aid of Bluebell Wood.

Family man Chris first became aware of the hospice through his wife Nicki. She had shown him a story about a child who had been cared for at Bluebell Wood and this motivated him when he read that the charity needs to raise £3 million each year to provide care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy.
