The idea first came about after the annual Ruskington Celebration Day held this summer.

The heavens opened in Great British fashion so organisers decided a Christmas market would be the perfect opportunity to get in the festive spirit.

There will be stalls along the High Street South, inside the Winchelsea Centre and in the car park.

Stalls will be selling homeware and decor, Christmas themed crafts, cupcakes and more.

Ruskington Methodist Church, in Chapel Street, will also be holding a range of craft activities for children in the afternoon.

There will be festive entertainment, carol singing at 6pm, hand bell ringing and no Christmas market would be complete without a visit from Santa and his sleigh.

Food and refreshments will be available, with Sleaford and District Lions supplying a barbecue.

All Saints Church will hold their Christmas fair on the morning of December 3.
