Sandwich designers bid for glory

Staff at a Worksop sandwich manufacturer will be hoping for glory when they travel to London next week to compete in a national competition.

Four representatives from Greencore will be among 30 hopefuls heading to London on 16th May in a bid to be named as ‘sandwich designer of the year.’

The annual event, which has become one of the highlights of the British Sandwich Week calendar, will see some of the brightest stars of the sandwich industry gather to showcase their talent.

Emma Taylor, Gavin Lewis, Amy White and Kelly Merry, all won through the regional heat to secure a place in the final and will be put through their paces as they bid to re-create the sandwiches that caught the judges’ eye the first time around.
