Santa set to visit Boston as garden centre opens up Narnia

Father Christmas will be heading to Boston tomorrow (Saturday) to open Johnsons Garden Centre's Narnia themed grotto.

The jolly man in red will arrive at the Wainfleet Road centre at about midday to meet and greet youngsters and get settled into his new home for the next few weeks.

His arrival will be hosted by Endeavour FM and will feature performances from Blackfriars dancers as well as a 30 store market.

This year’s theme at Johnson’s Garden Centre, is Narnia, which visitors will enter through a giant wardrobe of fur coats.

The displays include the Snow Queen, a life-sized Aslan, the famous lamp post, fawn and woodland animals.

A preview was held last night at the centre.

A spokesman said: “We had just over 60 people at the preview.

There were lots of comments about how fantastic the presents from Santa are this year!”

To visit Santa in Narnia it will cost £9.

After tomorrow, the grotto will open Saturdays 10am-12.30pm and 1-5pm and Sundays 10.30am-12.30pm and 1pm-3.45pm.

On Christmas week from Wednesday, December 21 until Christmas Eve it will open every day from 10am-12.30pm and 1-5pm, except Christmas eve when he will leave at 2.30pm.
