School has lotsto sing about

FRANCES Olive Anderson’s school choir will be taking part in an Olympic Lincolnshire Anthem concert.

The pupils were visited by Liz Lenton from the government scheme, Sing Up.

Liz taught the children songs that they will be singing at the event which takes place at the Lincolnshire Showground on 26th June.

The pupils’ teachers Lauren Sheriff and Julie Leaning believe this will reward the children for their hard work and to allow them to mix with the other choirs that will also be taking part in the concert.

The day will involve two sets from ACM Gospel Choir and will be followed by the group performance by the pupils at Frances Olive and several other choirs from surrounding schools.

There was similar triumph for the Frances Olive football team as they recently celebrated their success in the Primary Schools league after winning all six of their matches and placing runner up in the County Football Finals.

PE co-ordinator Rebecca Bishop coaches the team and said they played extremely well with special thanks to help from parent coach Mr Ronnis.
