School's maths success story

Maths experts at Boston Grammar School beat other teams of pupils from across the county to come fourth in an annual competition.

Luke Cocks and Matthew Wearden from Year 13 were joined by James Worthington and Neelay Sant from Year 12 to complete rounds of questions in the Senior Team Maths Challenge.

The event is organised by the United Kingdom Maths Trust and the Further Maths Support Programme and this year it was held at at the Priory LSST in Lincoln.

The grammar school placed fourth overall, beaten only by Leicester Grammar, QEGS Gainsborough and Caistor Grammar.

They were also the highest performing team in the Boston area.

Assistant headteacher David Johnson said : “We are very proud of their achievements; maintaining the school’s fine record in this difficult competition.”
