Scunthorpe Accident and emergency department performing well say patients
This is the latest news from a national survey carried out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) which aims to understand if people are satisfied with the care and treatment at A&Es across the country.

Hide AdPeople who attended A&E at either Scunthorpe or Grimsby in January, February or March of this year were sent a survey. It asked a range of questions about such things as waiting times, their care and treatment, was the unit clean and their overall experience.
The organisation overall scored ‘about the same’ as most other Trusts in the survey and scored ‘better’ on the length of time patients were in the department.
Chief nurse Dr Karen Dunderdale said: “The Care Quality Commission accident and emergency survey gives us a snapshot of what patients thought about their care and treatment when they visited one of our departments.

Hide Ad“Patient experience is incredibly important to us and we do not solely rely on the CQC survey to tell us what people think. We also encourage people who come through our doors to complete the friends and family test which shows us whether they were happy with their care and whether they would recommend us.”
