Search widens for missing Worksop man

Notts Police are extending the search for a missing Worksop man nationwide.

It is almost a fortnight since 53-year-old Steven Robert Thomas was reported missing by relatives on Monday 27th August.

There are concerns about his welfare and state of mind following two recent bereavements.

He is thought to be travelling in a silver Nissan Almera, registration number MK03 SCX.

The vehicle was spotted on a camera in Blind Lane in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, close to junction 63 of A1 (M), at around 1.30pm on Tuesday 28th August.

But there have been no confirmed sightings of Mr Thomas or the car since.

Mr Thomas is described as 5ft 10ins tall, of large build and with very short, receding hair. He wears glasses, but it is not known what clothing he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.

Anyone with information as to Mr Thomas’s whereabouts should call their local police force on 101.

The Notts Police incident number is 682 of 27th August.
