Serious road collision at Metheringham on B1188

The incident was reported at 9.19am on the B1188 Sleaford Road heading towards Lincoln and involved a car and a lorry, say Lincolnshire Police.

Four people are believed to have been injured; the extent of each of their injuries is still being assessed.

The road was closed at Dunston and Metheringham and was expected to remain closed for some time, other roads in the area were likely to be closed as well. Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible and seek alternative routes.
