The Rev (Wg Cdr) Paul Mellor said”:“Today was the turning point in the battle which ultimately changed the course of the Second World War and our history. It is right that we support it not only by sending the aircraft from the BBMF but as a part of our life today.”

His daughter Charlotte has just released a record entitled If you Hadn’t Done What You Did and she performed this after a reading by her father of The Few speech.

She said: “I feel very honoured to be able to commemorate this event at the home of the BBMF and with those who defend us even today. IF they hadn’t done what they did where would we be now?”
