Shift up the performance scale for Isle academy

Education performance tables show the academy to be the fourth best in the country for schools with similar attainment achieved at the end of KS4 based on the entry profile of students at KS2.

South Axholme Academy Principal Sarah Thompson said: “This is an outstanding achievement which recognises the hard work and dedication shown by both students and staff. We were extremely pleased with the attainment and progress made in 2015 and have already made significant developments in areas of focus this year.

“The previous year we were 29th nationally so we are obviously delighted with the significant improvement made by the school. We attribute the success to a number of strategic plans implemented to enhance the learning experiences and maximise student outcomes.”

Chair of Isle Education Trust Paul Barratt said: “To make such a significant improvement is phenomenal outcome. South Axholme Academy continues to provide excellent learning experiences for all it students driven by the quality of leadership in all aspects of the institution.”
