Sid bags the Misterton citizen of the year award
Sid Burgess was named Citizen of the Year 2014 by Misterton Parish Council at its annual parish meeting.
People come from far and wide to see Sid’s annual display of Christmas lights at his Grove Park home.
Council chairman Barry Cooper thanked Sid for raising money for the local Lions through this.
Coun Wayne Howe (pictured) made the presentation to Sid, who worked for Wayne in his butcher’s shop many years ago. Sid’s display now has over 2000 lights.
