Six to face Crown Court on Mablethorpe GBH charges

Six people from the local area at due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court following an alleged assault at a property in Waterloo Road, Mablethorpe, on Tuesday January 12.

The six defendants have been charged with committing grievous bodily harm (GBH) during the alleged attack. They appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court last Monday morning (January 18) and they were committed to Lincoln Crown Court for a preliminary hearing, which will take place on February 15.

The defendants are Curtis Chapman (22), of Beech Grove, Louth; Ben Zane Rowen (26), of Coleman Close, Mablethorpe; 
Luke William Simpson (25), of St Andrews Road, Mablethorpe; Amia Wilyman (20), of Church Road, Mablethorpe; Matthew James Thomas (26), of Sandringham Drive, Sutton On Sea; and a 17 year-old girl from Sutton On Sea who cannot be named for legal reasons.

Ben Zane Rowan and Luke William Simpson were remanded in custody, and the other four defendants were granted bail.
