Local schools represented were: Brant Broughton, Kirkby La Thorpe, Leasingham, Metheringham, Navenby and Winchelsea primaries as well as Kesteven and Sleaford High School, Sir William Robertson and St George’s academies.

Jessica Lovett, from Active Lincolnshire, said: “It’s been brilliant seeing so many children getting active at home for the Lincolnshire School Games this year, when children have been unable to participate in many of their usual sports and activities.

“Although we were sad not to be able to bring children together for the usual County Finals event, which was scheduled to be at Yarborough Leisure Centre this year, we were delighted to be able to showcase the achievements of all the finalists from the virtual events in the county finals video.

“We’re really pleased that so many people were able to enjoy watching the virtual finals, including many schools who watched the event and cheered on their finalists in classrooms with children in their bubbles. The video really celebrates the spirit and values of the School Games, with the finalists demonstrating passion, determination and self-belief.”
