A spokesman for market charter holders North Kesteven District Council said: “From Tuesday, May 31 through to Sunday, June 5, the section alongside the Old Sessions House and Bristol fountain will be closed to parking.

“This is to allow for work to be undertaken around the trees, where root growth has disturbed the paving blocks. These will be re-laid, leaving a small distance surrounding the tree, protected by a raised kerb.

“The work will be carried out in order to cause minimal disruption, with pedestrian and service access put in place to minimise inconvenience.”

Alternative parking can be found at Eastgate car park, Eastbanks car park or Money’s Yard car park. For any questions relating to car parking contact NKDC on 01529 414155.
