The county’s heritage community will gather on November 16 at The Collection in Lincoln celebrating the work done by museums, heritage sites and their staff members across the county.

Judges visited the museum earlier this month to see for themselves what has been achieved in inspiring others, working with schools or community groups, marketing and volunteer training.

The Lincolnshire Heritage Forum exists to support, develop and promote museums and heritage attractions in the county.

Jan Spooner, of Sleaford Museum, thanked organisations who have supported the museum trust from the beginning.

She said: “We have just put our eighth new display in the front window and the sixth major internal exhibition on a local historical subject is on show. We have also had over 5,000 visitors since April 2015.”
