Amy Cockcroft, 32, has designed the cards in support of children’s charity Action Medical Research.

The organisation funds research into conditions which can severely affect children, including meningitis, Down syndrome, epilepsy and premature birth.

Amy, who has chosen a festive gingerbread recipe to feature on the cards, said: “We decided that for a children’s charity, the nicest festive recipe to illustrate would be gingerbread men.”

Amy grew up on a farm in Lincolnshire, and went on to study illustration at the University of Lincoln.

Upon graduating in 2006, Amy founded Ryland Studios on the family farm, where she publishes her illustrations and designs.

Amy has teamed up with Lynn Tait, a long-term supporter of Action Medical Research.

Lynn has owned a greeting card business for more than 20 years, and invited publishers to create Christmas cards for charity.

This year, Action Medical Research is selling packs of five cards for £3.50, with nine designs to choose from.

They are available to purchase by going online at www.action.org.uk/christmas-cards.
