Sleaford Air Cadet Squadron’s Cadet Warrant Officer Lauren Griffen–Edmondson and Sergeant Meredith Rutland were part of the choir; Corporal Thomas Gibbons was a key member of the marching band.
It was the first time that the choir has been part of the special event and they went down a storm with the crowds.

DreamFlight provides a trip of a lifetime to Very Important Children who have persevered through significant challenges.

They were joined by the band and choir at their party on Saturday night which was followed by a reunion in the hangar before they boarded their flight on Sunday morning.
Sgt Rutland said of the event: "Last weekend, CWO Griffen-Edmondson, Cpl Gibbons and I travelled to Heathrow to perform (us as part of the National Choir and Cpl Gibbons as the bass drummer for the Marching Band) for Dreamflight 2023.
"It was a wonderful opportunity to support a charity that takes young people with a serious illness or disability on a holiday of a lifetime to Orlando.

"We performed at their pre-flight disco on the Saturday evening at the Hilton Hotel and then performed just before their flight on the Sunday morning on the tarmac at Terminal 5 Heathrow.

"It was really special to be able to be a part of an amazing team of people who all came together to make this the best experience for these children who have been through so much. All three of us were privileged to help in some way make their trip more magical.”
