Snake reported missing, public warned to stay away

A pet snake has been reported missing in Boston.

Police are advising people to stay away from the boa constrictor after it was reported missing from a house on Union Street just after 7pm yesterday evening (Wednesday, November 28).

Although the snake is not venomous, the public are warned it should not be approached.

“It is likely to find somewhere warm, so could be in an area such as a garden shed,” a police statement read.

“It has white on its tail, with grey, black and brown spots.

“Officers are currently searching for the reptile.”

If anyone sees what they think is a snake in the area, call 999 quoting Incident 361 of November 28.
