Sneak-thief steals purse from Louth woman's home

A sneak-thief stole a purse from a home in Louth's Kidgate on Sunday when the owner was at home.

The intruder got into the house through an unlocked door and police are now reminding home owners to stay locked up at all times.

In a Lincs Alert message, PCSO Sally Hewitt of Louth Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Please use this message as a reminder of how important it is to ensure that your home is secure, even when you are at home.

“Opportunist thieves will take advantage of any insecure doors or windows to gain access.”

Witnesses are asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 96 of February 15, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
