SNOOKER: Robinson’s Breakers make it four on the trot

Shane Robinson’s Breakers S team continue to improve, making it four wins on the trot after defeating Welbeck B 3-1 to move into joint second in Worksop Snooker League’s Division One.

The pool players now only sit four points from fellow club side and leaders Breakers X, writes Antony Coupe.

Breakers X could only manage a draw against Clipstone but do still remain unbeaten for the season.

Notts Arena remain on the heels of the leaders after a comfortable 3-1 victory over Stanley D which included a 62 break from Daz Presgrave against Mick West who failed to get on the score board.

Elsewhere Kev Firth, Nigel Bond and Gareth Kirk of Stanley C beat Notts Arena B 3-1 with also a 3-1 victory for fellow club side Stanley G who beat Bassetlaw C 3-1 with frames from Patrick Gee, Russ Cairns and Wayne Heath.

Welbeck A were the other winners this week thanks to Phil Robinson, Trevor Hughes and Tom Newsome when defeating Dinnington C 3-1.

It was a familiar story in Division Two as it’s been all season with yet another 4-0 victory for champions elect Grove Mill who moved seven points clear of the chasing pack when defeating Dinnington A.

Mark Leone, Jason Roberts, Chris Hewitt and Nick Wells were the winners.

Tickhill B and Langold Pocket remain second and third after drawing with Worksop Bowling Club and Hodthorpe A respectively.

Woodend Pub produced an excellent away 4-0 victory over Hodthorpe B, the winning quartet were D. Wolland, Tony Broughton, Graham Forte and Paul Broughton.
