Snowdrop Sunday has been held by Skirbeck St Nicholas Church, on Fishtoft Road, Boston, for 15 years.

The event commemorates that winter is drawing to a close and spring will be soon with us.

Visitors will be welcomed at the church from 12 noon until 4pm.

Father Paul Noble said: “The large churchyard is close to the banks of the River Witham, with a large numbers of naturalised snowdrops to view from the churchyard paths. This year, we have a new brochure with history and folklore of our earliest spring flower.

“This is an opportunity to visit the oldest church in Boston, which sadly has usually to be kept locked.”

This year’s event will feature an exhibition of historic photographs to show how the church has changed through the last 150 years.
