Soot build-up blamed for fire in Skegness

A build-up of soot has been blamed for a fire at a property in Skegness.

Firefighters were called to Melbourne Drive at 9.45pm yesterday (Sunday) following a report of a chimney fire.

Lincs Fire and Rescue tweeted the crew used chimney gear to extinguish it and it was “caused by a build-up of soot within chimney”.
