Soot build up causes chimney fire at Ashby de la Launde
A build up of soot and debris has been blamed for the start of a chimney fire this morning (Friday).
A fire crew from Metheringham were called to the reports of a chimney on fire at a house on Church Avenue, Ashby de la Launde at about 7.38am.
The build up of soot and debris in and around the chimney liner and flu caught fire but no other damage was reported.
