South Yorks: Rudston celebrates as Year Six pupils secure top school places

Pupils and staff from Rudston Preparatory School near Rotherham are once again celebrating the achievements of Year Six pupils who have secured places at top independent senior schools in the region.

Following rigorous academic entrance examinations the children have been offered places at Sheffield High School for Girls, Birkdale School, Wakefield Girls High School, Queen Elizabeth Grammar School and Mount St Mary’s College.

Head teacher, Mr Guy Willatt said “It is always reassuring that these prestigious schools recognise the high academic and social skills that pupils from Rudston achieve.”

The school have a series of exciting events planned for the rest of their time in Year Six including a residential visit to Kingswood, Staffordshire and a production of Robin Hood and the Sherwood Hoodies as well as further preparation for transition to their Senior Schools.”
