South Yorks: Rudston celebrates as Year Six pupils secure top school places

Following rigorous academic entrance examinations the children have been offered places at Sheffield High School for Girls, Birkdale School, Wakefield Girls High School, Queen Elizabeth Grammar School and Mount St Mary’s College.

Head teacher, Mr Guy Willatt said “It is always reassuring that these prestigious schools recognise the high academic and social skills that pupils from Rudston achieve.”

“It is as a result of the outstanding teaching that our pupils have received over their time with us.”

“We are confident that all pupils leave us equipped with the academic skills to continue to learn, the confidence and personal skills to show themselves in a good light and a clear understanding of right and wrong that will go with them through their lives.”

The school have a series of exciting events planned for the rest of their time in Year Six including a residential visit to Kingswood, Staffordshire and a production of Robin Hood and the Sherwood Hoodies as well as further preparation for transition to their Senior Schools.”
