South Yorks: VIP to open new birthing spa at Trust hospital

The birthing spa is the latest addition to maternity services, offering local women even more choice when having their babies.

The reopening of the newly-named spa means that women who wish to use the facility to help with pain relief while in labour will be able to do so in more comfort and even greater safety.

As well as the birthing spa at Doncaster, women have also benefitted from the creation of several en-suite single rooms with their own showers at Bassetlaw Hospital that women can use either before or after their babies are born.

Lady Cumberlege will also be around the whole of the hospital’s maternity services department and meet staff and patients alike to hear their views on maternity care.
