St Anne’s tour cinema

Pupils from St Anne’s Church Of England Primary School visiting the new Savoy Cinema, which is set to open in March 2012.

Savoy managing director James Collington said: “There’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes and you lose some sense of the excitement until you get back on site and see it taking shape. ”

He added: “The screens will boast excellent technology and the facility here will be as good as any other cinema in Sheffield or Doncaster.”

There will be 901 seats, with two main 228-seat screens at the centre of the building, surrounded by four smaller screen - three of which will feature 3D technology.

The iconic building will also feature an eye-catching glass front facing onto Bridge Street and Potter Street.
