Stagecoach to launch buses on route 19

NEW buses are being launched on a route through Dinnington after a £1.4million investment by operator Stagecoach.

The company has bought 10 new vehicles for route 19, the link between Dinnington and Rotherham and Worksop. It also goes through Thurcroft, Laughton and Anston.

To celebrate the launch, Stagecoach is making Monday 19th December, 19 day.

There will be giveaways on the buses along the route and competitions where customers can win free travel.

The company will also be letting all 19-year-olds travel on the service free for the day - provided they can show proof of age to the driver.

One of the new buses will be parked by Dinnington bus station. Residents and visitors are invited to pop in, see the new bus, pick up a timetable and even have a mince pie.

Gary Nolan, Stagecoach East Midlands managing director, said: “More and more people are discovering that the bus is the best way to get to work college or go shopping. Our distinctive new 19 buses have the space for buggies and wheelchairs and the latest clean green engine. In these days of high fuel and parking costs there’s never been a better time to get on board.”
