Stamp of approval for new Post Office home in Binbrook

A new Post Office '˜local' service is set to open its doors at Manor View Stores in Binbrooks Market Place.

The service which now has now been given the stamp of approval will officially launch at 1pm on Monday, February 27.

It will be provided at a Post Office serving point in the store, where the Post Office terminal will sit alongside the retail till.

Post Office services will be available, seven days a week, during the store’s opening hours; 7am-8pm Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm Saturday and 9am-5pm on Sunday.

The opening hours which will increase by an extra 47 hours and 30 minutes a week, will ensure that the branch is more convenient, as people will now have more choice of when to visit.

The branch will open earlier and close later every day.

Suzanne Richardson, Post Office regional manager, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.

“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office.”

Residents will be able to access the wide range of Post Office services which include special delivery, local collect and home shopping returns.

They will also be able to do online banking cash deposits and withdrawals, withdrawals using a Post Office Card Account, send funds abroad, pay bills, pre-order travel money and much more.
