Stewart takes charge at Horncastle centre

His appointment was confirmed at the centre’s recent annual meeting and he takes over from the Rev Stephen Holdaway, who has taken on extra commitments with Rotary International.

Mr Attwood, who is also deputy organiser of the Horncastle Voluntary Car Service, moved to the town four years ago.

The centre is thriving thanks to the volunteers who help run it.

Bookings manager Angela Birchall reported that inquiries were at a high level, while projects manager David Birchall said a £4,000 refurbishment of the church room was near completion. Future projects include updating the heating control system.
