The Butterfly Hospice Trust is looking for local people in the public eye to take up a Strictly Come Dancing-inspired challenge in support of the work.

Participants will be paired with a partner and be given eight weeks of professional dance lessons as they prepare for a public performance. These will take place in Sleaford, on Sundays, and last about an hour.

A commitment to raise a minimum of £350 in sponsorship money is expected from those taking part, but the trust will design a personal fundraising campaign for them, which will be supported by its own media campaign.

A spokesman said: “You will be launched into the public spotlight through our social media and the local press.

“Your big moment will happen on Friday, June 5, at the Gliderdrome, Boston in front of a voting audience and our panel of judges, hopefully with a celebrity compère.

“You will be performing in the opening group number and a special choreographed number for you and your partner.

“So, do you think you could lift the Glitterball Trophy?”
