A total of 48 golfers took part in the event at Bondhay Golf Club, which was put together by the second year students.

Niall Wegg, one of the organisers, said: “The event went great, couldn’t have asked for better. After all the poor weather putting doubts on it going ahead, it turned out to be a sunny, warm day perfect for golf.”

The event raised £727 for The Broad Appeal. Charity founder Chris Broad, former England cricketer, attended and spoke to golfers about the cause. The money will go towards the South Yorkshire branch of the Motor Neurone Disease association.
