Support group launched

Bassetlaw Council chairman David Challinor helped people with lung disease to launch a new support group last month.

Breathe Easy Bassetlaw provides information and support for some of the thousands of people affected by lung disease in the district.

More than 30 people launched the group on Tuesday 13th March, including the group’s treasurer, Margaret Smith.

Mrs Smith said: “The launch went really well. Our aim is to give them some support and to help people with their condition.

“We need to get more members to come along and see what’s on offer.”

The group meets 2-3.30pm every second Tuesday of the month at the Oasis Club on Longfellow Drive.
