Surviving the winter appeal is launched

The campaign is launched at a time when local people receive their Winter Fuel Payments – which some may feel they are less in need of.

SYCF collects and distributes donations to vulnerable older people and the groups who help them.

Pauline Grice, SYCF chief executive said: “If you are not in fuel-poverty, please think about donating some or all of your Winter Fuel Payment to this campaign. You could help an older person to survive this winter. Any money you donate will be used locally to support someone in fuel poverty.”
