The guild has raised thousands of pounds over the years to support the Mablethorpe Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

The celebrations began with their usual coffee morning, which was followed by a host of activities to mark the milestone. Lifeboat crewman Carl came along and treated invited guests to a quiz.

It also made everyone there realise the cost of kitting out a single crew member and how important the guild’s support is to enable vital equipment still gets purchased.

It is made possible thanks to the generosity of local causes such as the guild.

Guests enjoyed a buffet lunch, and a presentation of flowers was made to Pat Horton to reward her for all of her hard work and commitment to the guild over the last 23 years.

The celebrations ended with guild president John Monk giving thanks.

He said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the guild members and volunteers for their hard work and all the time they give on a regular basis to raise funds for the RNLI.

“A mention must go out to Seashells restaurant for providing us with an excellent buffet lunch.

“I would also like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along to the celebrations for their continued support towards the RNLI.”
