Shannon James Maginnis, 19, of Church Lane, also denied driving a vehicle with a ply or cord exposed when he appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court on October 13.

The charges relate to an alleged incident in Roman Bank, Skegness, on April 13 this year.

It is alleged that the presence of Maginnis, who was driving a Vauxhall Corsa, on the road led to an accident which caused a Ford Mondeo being damaged.

Maginnis is charged with failing to stop, and also failing to report it to police as soon as reasonably practical, or within the 24 hour deadline following the accident.

The court case has been adjourned until December 19 at Skegness Magistrates’ Court, to allow for a trial to begin on the three charges that Maginnis has denied.

The adjournment will also allow for sentencing on the charge of driving without due care and attention, to which Maginnis pleaded guilty last week.
