Suttons back Boston Scouts' relief effort for flood victims

Air ambulance volunteer Tina McNeil, pictured with 7th Boston Scouts leader Alan Blackhorse-Hull, helped gather items from the Suttons with her partner, Peter Headland, and pals Marylin and Brian Shelford.
Tina, from Sutton St James, said: “Having made the front pages when the floods happened, these people have been a bit forgotten because of tragedies abroad.”

Items donated included nappies, clothes, pet food, pillows and furniture.
Tina said: “We were given one brand new mattress.”
Mr Blackhorse-Hull said there’s a meeting tonight (Tuesday) to find drivers to take two Luton van-loads to Yorkshire.
As well as collecting and storing items, the volunteers have been re-bagging them so they are properly protected and water-tight.
