Swallownest: Residents set sail for a special canal trip
Residents and staff from HC-One Swallownest Care Home in Sheffield set sail along the Sheffield & South Yorkshire Navigational Canal with a narrowboat trip from the Swinton Lock Activity Centre, complete with an on-board picnic.
After being shown around the narrowboat, residents relaxed on the deck and took in the lush green surroundings and the river bank activity.
And the day was so successful, Swallownest have already booked another narrowboat trip in September.

Hide AdHome manager, Jillian Kilgallen, said: “The residents had such a good time on the boat, and I’m sure the trip in September will be just as much fun.”
“The weather was perfect and it was lovely to hear the residents talking so excitedly to the other residents about their trip on the canal.”
