The charity’s Wing Walk event will be held at Wickenby Aerodrome, in Langworth, Lincolnshire on Saturday 27 May.

Wing Walkers will be securely strapped to the top wing of an authentic vintage Boeing Stearman biplane with their very own highly experienced pilot.

Stepping up to take on the Wing Walk in Lincolnshire this year is Rosemary Martin, 73.

She said: “I’m Wing Walking in memory of my friend who recently died after living with Parkinson’s.

“This is my last chance to be a daredevil and raise some money for a very worthy cause!”

There’s still time to sign up and join Rosemary and help the one person every hour in the UK who is told they have Parkinson’s.

All money raised will help Parkinson’s UK to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for the 127,000 people across the UK living with Parkinson’s.

The charity is inviting over 18s to take on the challenge.

Registration costs £100 and there is a minimum sponsorship of £750.

All Wing Walkers will receive a Parkinson’s UK T-shirt to wear on your flight, a fundraising pack, and fundraising support to help you reach your target.

Paul Jackson-Clark, Director of Fundraising for Parkinson’s UK, said: “A wing walk is a great way to take to the skies in style and raise vital funds at the same time.

“Everyone who takes part will be helping our work to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.”
