Tax deadline
HM Revenue and Customs is issuing a new year reminder to any Gainsborough residents who have not yet sent in their 2010/11 self assessment tax returns.
Self assessment returns must be submitted online before the 31st January deadline or people risk incurring a £100 fine. January 31 is also the deadline for paying any tax owed for the 2010/11 tax year.
