In Ruskington on Monday last week volunteers at the hospice’s three charity shops on the High Street staged a tea party inviting customers to join them for tea, coffee, and birthday cake.

It was a civilised affair with musical accompaniment by violinist Steve Clarke, who is a local music teacher and busker in Covent Garden.

It is one of many events taking place to mark the anniversary year.
