Teenager appears in court following fatal road collision near Alford

A teenager has appeared in court in Skegness on charges arising from a road accident near Alford in which two people died.

Aron Kenneth Baker, 18, of Steeping Court in Lincoln, entered ‘not guilty’ pleas to charges of causing the deaths of Matthew Ellis and Jean Thomas by driving without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road, on the A1104 Snape Hill at Saleby near Alford on April 18 this year.

Magistrates sent Baker for trial at Lincoln Crown Court and granted him unconditional bail. A preliminary hearing will take place on December 9.

The incident, which took place on Good Friday, saw a further six people receive serious injuries, as previously reported.
