Ten years ago ... Tower Road pupils shine in cricket tournament

Tower Road's Chance to Shine cricket team 10 years ago.

Here we see youngsters from Tower Road who claimed the runner-up spot in the Chance to Shine cricket tournament 10 years ago.

The event, hosted by Boston Cricket Club, saw Year Five and Six pupils from local primary schools take part in small-sided games as an introduction to the sport.

On this occasion, Tower Road were beaten in the final by Thurlby, who booked their place in the final with a 251-179 result against St Mary’s.

Tower Road defeated Sibsey in their semi-final. In the third-fourth place playoff, St Mary’s beat Sibsey by three runs.
