Tennis net wrecked by vandals at Metheringham playing field

It may be Wimbledon season but there will be no play in Metheringham after vandals damaged a tennis net at the playing field.

According to PCSO Marcos Meneses of Washingborough and Metheringham Neighbourhood Policing Team, the tennis net has been pulled down and the wire cable pulled out of where it fastens. The posts have also been bent to allow this to happen.

The incident is said to have happened between 7pm and 9pm on Tuesday (July 5).
