Terry Young family thank community for its support as DJs line up for Forever Young tribute gig

The family of DJ Terry Young have thanked the community for its support as more than 20 DJs and MCs get ready to perform in tribute to him this weekend.

A statement to The Standard from Tel’s mother Lynne, father Mick and brother Carl Young said: “We would like to express our sincerest thanks for the kindness shown due to our tragic loss of Terry.

“We would like to offer special thanks to everyone who was at the scene of the accident.

“Once again, thank you so much.”

On Sunday, the Wine Bar in Boston is set to host a 10-hour event in tribute to the Boston DJ called Forever Young (The Send Off).

Taking place from 2pm-midnight, across three rooms, the event will be headlined by 90slegend DJ Kuta (Mike Lewis), from N-Trance, who will be coming down from North Wales to play a set live from 9pm.

The event will also feature performances in room one from: 2-3pm - Dan Allgood; 3-4pm - Pawel DJ Sam Dydula; 4-5pm - Chris Mitchell; 5-6pm - Zak Holland; 6-7pm - James Brown; 7-8pm - Joe de Vries; 8-9pm - Gareth Davies; 9-10pm - Mike Lewis ( N-Trance ); 10-11pm Callum Borman; 11-12pm Steve C Charles aka Jonny Bravo.

In room two there will be: 3-5pm - Jake Chucky Hunt; 5-7pm - Kev Bridges; 7-9pm - Matt Flatline; 9-11pm - Tom Sampson.

Entry will be £3. All proceeds will go to Tel’s family.

Terry Young, 31, died following a collision between the scooter he was riding and a tractor on Marsh Lane, in Boston, on Tuesday, November 1, at 5.45pm.
