The thriller is set in the seaside town itself, and tells the story of the search for an eight-year-old boy, Aidan Truscott, who goes missing without a trace on Halloween, 1983.

As the search continues, the once tight-knit community begins to reveal its suspicions, unravelling hurtful secrets and accusations, although the truth is far worse than anyone could have imagined.

The book has been described by critics as “a haunting, chilling and gripping read”.

After the book launch, Wayne said: “The event went very well. I was pleased with what seemed to be genuine interest in the story. I just hope people enjoy the book.

“I also want to give thanks to the Coastal Centre, which did a great job hosting.”

The book is available in paperback and in digital format from the publishers at www.rudlinghouse.com, as well as through major retailers.

The Coastal Centre also has a few signed copies, with proceeds going to help The Boatshed Charity.
