The Real Steakhouse at the Double Barrel has been serving over 1,000 diners per week in the first half of the year and has now expanded its staff numbers from 14 to 26 employees.

The expanded team includes two new general managers, Amanda Wroe and Marie Moore, while Sarah Bird has become a company director.

The business has also appointed three trainee managers – Donna Simms, Sammie, Williams and Lauren Sludden.

Craig Savage, founder and managing director of the Real Steakhouse at the Double Barrel, said: “We have had a phenomenal response to the restaurant since we opened six months ago.”

“We have people travelling from as far away as Lincolnshire and Derbyshire to sample our menu, it’s fantastic.”

“To cater for demand we are investing in expanding our kitchen at the premises to make it three times the size.

“The reason for appointing these new managers and trainee managers is that we are in the process of setting up a franchise scheme to cover the whole of the UK and hopefully these staff will be able to help take this forward.”
