Freshtime, in Marsh Lane, was named winner in three categories in this year’s Good Choice! Quality Food Awards, held recently by Metropolis Business Media at the Marriott, in Grosvenor Square, London.

The awards are designed to highlight best practice in those food products that are specifically designed and marketed as healthier, free from or alternative diet.

Freshtime saw its spicy bean burrito, Italian meatball meal pot, and squash and grains meal pot products win in the Food to Go, Ready Meals (Meat), and Ready Meals (Vegetable) categories respectively.

All three of the products are made by Freshtime for Co-op.

Amanda Turner, new product development manager, said: “We are delighted to have won not just one, but all three of the categories that our products were shortlisted in.

“Co-op also won Food to Go Retailer of the Year, so it was an honour to join them on the day to celebrate.”
